About me

I was born in Stavanger, Norway, where I now live with my family, close to the the nature; the mountains, the fiords and the ocean.

As a jewelry artist and maker I work in different materials along with gold and silver. I have been a member of The Norwegian Association of Arts and Crafts since I graduated, from Oslo National Academy of the Arts, in 1981. As an associated professor at the University of Stavanger, Institute of Early Childhood Education, I lecture in art subjects.

What inspires me in my work is the continuously metamorphosis and wonder in nature, from micro marine biology to insects, pods and plants. All a spectacular spectra of shapes and colors.

Teaching and working with art, in early childhood, is the key to creativity for life in general. The creative mind is open, inclusive and respectful towards people, animals and nature itself.
